In the chemical industry, but also in water management and other industries, plastic, GRP and other plastic composite systems are being used more and more frequently. These materials have some advantages over steel, but place special demands on gasket technology. The relaxation behavior of glass-fiber-reinforced plastics (GFRP) causes high tightening torques and temperatures to cause the applied stress to dissipate after a relatively short time. The high recovery rate of elastomers can compensate for this.

Furthermore, the dimensions of plastic flanges and flanges from plastic composite systems often deviate from existing standardizations, so that a classically standardized gasket does not fit optimally.
The solution here is the G-ST-P/K. The proven gasket design matches the dimensions of the flange connection and also takes the SDR into account. For more special dimensions, as can occur with GRP joints, we customize the gasket.
The combination of flat gasket and profile gasket ensures that the gasket seals reliably even at low tightening torques and also increases the recovery rate.
