Gaskets in the force shunt
G-ST-P / Force Shunt Gasket
Particularly with high pressures and pressure load changes, high demands are placed on the flange connection. High screw tightening torques generate high surface pressures on the gasket element in the installed condition.
Here, the G-ST-P/KN offers the optimum solution as a gasket in the force shunt. The outer steel ring, which is somewhat thinner in cross-section than the elastomer, provides optimum protection against overstressing due to excessive surface pressure. Once the optimum surface pressure has been reached, the steel support ring, also known as the block layer, is in the force main lock so that the rubber profile is protected (force shunt).
